Erm...

Heeeeeeey,
So I am my school's "Activities Director" which basically means I plan homecoming. Which is INTENSELY STRESSFUL and was the worst 2 weeks (1 week for planning, and last week for HC week itself) of my life. But the past is behind us and I can start reading again! Another reason I haven't blogged in weeks is my recent discovery of INTERNET GOLD.

Harry Potter fans cannot consider themselves truly in the know without a thorough viewing of AVPM:
A Very Potter Musical! It's "TOTALLY AWESOME!"

Sooooooo, anypoop, back to real blogs regarding my addiction on the way. Happy viewing my dear addicts!

"I Love You...but"

It's happened already. I've promised a proper blog by Monday and here I sit, and Wednesday is upon us. Ah well, you must forgive me, I have good reasons! Monday I was struck with scarlet fever, and Tuesday it was black plague- damn the middle ages! To make up for my inadequacy, I'll begin with an anecdote of Tolkien:

The man was once at a party (he was known to be quite a slave to mead etc), and whilst at the punch bowl, a woman jokingly teased "Sir, if I was your wife, I would poison your cup!" The fabulous Tolkien replied "Ma'am, if you were my wife, I would drink it!"

Food for Thought:
Perhaps it is all due to my naivete. Perhaps it's because I didn't watch enough television as a child. Whatever the reason, I don't believe what a big deal saying "I Love You" (to significant others) is for adults. I doubt it was always so, but our generation is experiencing an odd craze where an admission of love is made out to be a bigger step than a... horizontal tango. People tend to equate it to a real commitment, instead of a fling. But really, don't we love many people to some extent? Furthermore, don't we have to love our "significant others" at least somewhat, in order to consider a more intimate relationship? I should hope so.

Oh, and here's another little nugget, just for kicks and giggles:
The etymology of "innuendo" literally means "to nod." If this pleases you, we are of like minds.
